What if the hardest lessons in life are only hard because we refuse to believe God before we experience the pain? Faith says, “I trust Him,” before experience ever says, “I told you so.” God Knows Best and the absolute best way to do life is to follow the commands of the bible. His Word isn’t just spiritual advice—it’s a blueprint for a better life.
Proverbs 2:1-2,6 says My child, listen to what I say,
and treasure My commands.
2 Tune your ears to wisdom,
and concentrate on understanding.
6 For the Lord grants wisdom!
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.
I had to learn this and most people don’t realize this, but The best way to learn is by faith, not experience. Just trust God at His Word and do what He says. He knows what He’s talking about.
Now you can learn practical things by experience. How to do something, developing a skill or building something. BUT, when it comes to His Word, it’s not just about moral things, right and wrong, but the Bible tells us how to do life, including handling finances, how to do marriage, how to raise our kids, it even addresses relationships and communicating with others amongst many other things.
I’m going to be transparent and for me, a big one, among many mistakes, would’ve been no intimacy before marriage, I wish I would’ve just done it His way! You can disagree with me, but God says it’s wrong and there’s no right way to do wrong!
To make this practical, it’s as if God says don’t play with fire or you’ll get burned, by faith, we should just trust and say to ourselves, God said it, I believe and that’s it. He knows what He’s talking about. I don’t want nor do I need the experience of getting burned to know it’s true!
We should just trust God and do what He says in His Word. It will save you a lot of headache, heartache, shame and/or regret! Remember He also says in Galatians 6:7 that He will not be mocked and you will reap what you sow! Learning by experience is the hard way my friend, learn by faith.
Colossians 2:6-7 says And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow Him. 7 Let your roots grow down into Him, and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
I know, we can be like, but I just feel, but I think, in my opinion…let me tell you something, when it comes to God, your opinion has no dominion and it will only lead to you sinnin’! He doesn’t care about how you feel, He cares about your future. Contrary to popular opinion, it’s not about you, it’s about Him!
I have heard it said that Bible, B.I.B.L.E stands for Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth. I say it stands for BEST Instruction Before Leaving Earth.
John 2:5 says, whatever He says to you, do it. He loves you, He created you, He knows what’s best and wants the best for you. Just do what He says. He knows best.
