Complaining is Draining, But Praising Is Amazing

Complaining is Draining, but Praising is Amazing!

We all have times when we are going through trials or are waiting for something to happen (it could be a job, a promotion, finding a spouse, starting a family, or you’re going through a storm). Besides having to be patient, what do we do, we start complaining.

How God How, Why God Why, When God when? Why is this happening to me? Please understand, I’m not making light of anything because some people are going through some heavy things.

However, what I will say is complaining about it NEVER resolved anything, it never solved ANY problem! It certainly doesn’t make God do anything any faster!

Philippians 2:13-15 (NASB) says, for it is God who is at work in you, both to desire and to work for His good pleasure.

Do ALL THINGS WITHOUT COMPLAINING or arguments; so that you will PROVE yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world,

Now, how can you PROVE yourself and appear as a LIGHT to the world, NOT by complaining, but PRAISING! Be a fountain and not a drain, after people are with you they should be refreshed, not depressed. You can choose to praise your way through your problems. Don’t whine, focus on the divine and you will be fine!

God has made it clear in His word regarding His will for us in our daily lives, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NIV) says, Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in ALL CIRCUMSTANCES; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Some of you are looking to go to the next level in an area of your life and if you want God’s blessing…well if attitude determines altitude, He has to know you are trustworthy and faithful, REGARDLESS, of the circumstances. The prophet Habakkuk exemplified this, in Habakkuk 3:17-18 (NIV) he says,

Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.

Even Job, with ALL he went through, he STILL said in Job 13:15-16

Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.
Even so, I will defend my own ways before Him.

16
He also shall be my salvation,
For a hypocrite could not come before Him.

Based on those verses, what I say is complain, nothing will change and you will stay and remain OR praise, acknowledge Him in all your ways, experience His grace and be raised!

It’s as if God sees you and says, “Oh, you’re trustworthy and faithful regardless of the circumstances. so you’re going to praise Me whether things are bad or good. Alright, watch me take you to the next level!”

He doesn’t want your relationship with Him to be up and down based on your circumstance, He wants to know you will remain steadfast and continue to abide in Him. In other words… don’t whine, focus on the divine. Complain and remain, praise, and be raised! Will you be complaining or come praising!

Remember, the bible is not just to be read and believed it is to be lived!
